Blog change. Again. Still avoiding those heinous ads at the top though, glaring windows into the corporate machine. Come check it out, still at mwjenkins.com, only this time I'm using WordPress, not Blogger (I jettisoned the latter after they made a sneak change in their coding on me and messed up all the coding I had done on my comments).

WordPress boasts a wonderful, web standards compliant layout, simple and elegant. It also has an RSS feed, MySQL support (meaning your posts are truly separate from the html), and a bunch of plugins to choose at your discretion.

And the best thing about it? No ads.

Xanga charges money for bourgeois privileges, and because I'm a techno-commie, I don't like that. They also make you sign up with them, even if you just want to post on your friends blogs. Because I'm a digital libertarian, I don't like that. I am not going to use Xanga. However, I do use Blogger, which is maintained by our great friends at Google. Google will one day take over the world and become the next Microsoft, which everybody will love to hate while surreptitiously using all their products. When that happens, I will probably keep using Google, even though I don't want to. However, for now, I can use Blogger to vomit all my thoughts into the cyberrealm without feeling guilty. If you want to play (with the vomit, that is) then come visit me.

If that doesn't grab your fancy, then just keep on surfing past this bit of binary flotsam, and enjoy the wave.
